How To Make Vegan Sorbet
Making vegan sorbet is super easy and is the perfect way to end a dinner party! You can follow our recipe below to see how you can make it today.
What You Need
- A pinch of salt
- 1 ½ teaspoon of cold water
- 1 ½ teaspoon of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of lemon or lime juice
- ½ cup of sugar
- 3 cups of sliced ripe fruit
How To Make Sorbet
- Puree your fruit until smooth in a food processor.
- Combine the puree with sugar and salt and place in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the mixture is hot, but not boiling.
- Separately, whisk your cold water and cornstarch together. Once whisked, add this to your heated puree.
- Add your lemon or lime juice.
- Refrigerate mixture for two hours.
- To finish, freeze in the ice cream maker following the manufacturer’s instructions. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, place your sorbet in a shallow dish in the freezer. Stir it every 30 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
